Janet H. Gilbert
Janet Gilbert focuses her legal practice on general corporate law and policy, litigation coordination, risk management and drafting contracts, leases and joint facility agreements. Her experience includes management of legal issues involving the Federal Railroad Administration, OSHA, the Surface Transportation Board and numerous state agencies involved with regulatory oversight. She serves as national coordinating counsel for occupational claims for a major client and also provides general counsel oversight services to several short line railroads.
Janet’s wide range of legal experience includes over 20 years of service as in-house counsel, including serving as Antitrust Counsel for The Milwaukee Road, Vice-President and General Counsel for Wisconsin Central Ltd. and General Counsel – Litigation & Insurance for CN. She began her legal career with the Federal Trade Commission where she concentrated on antitrust and consumer protection law.
